     Edward Nightingale was baptised on 27 August 1658.¹ He was the son of Geoffrey Nightingale and Elizabeth Luckyn.² He married Anne Charlotte Slingsby, daughter of Sir Arthur Slingsby, 1st Bt..¹ He died on 2 July 1723 at age 64.¹
     He lived at Kneesworth, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Nightingale, of Newport Pond, co. Essex [E., 1628] before 24 July 1722, de jure.¹

     Sir Arthur Slingsby, 1st Bt. is the son of Sir Guilford Slingsby.
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Slingsby, of Bifrons.

     Anne Charlotte Slingsby is the daughter of Sir Arthur Slingsby, 1st Bt.² She married Edward Nightingale, son of Geoffrey Nightingale and Elizabeth Luckyn.¹
     Her married name became Nightingale.

     Gamaliel Nightingale was the son of Edward Nightingale and Anne Charlotte Slingsby.² He died after 1722, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Nightingale, of Newport Pond, co. Essex [E., 1628] on 2 June 1723, de jure.¹
