Sir John Livingston of Kinnaird, 1st Bt.1

     Sir John Livingston of Kinnaird, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir John Livingston of Abercorn and Elizabeth Carmichael.2 He married Jane Sproxton, daughter of Richard Sproxton, on 7 February 1618/19.1 He died circa 9 March 1627/28.1 He was buried on 12 March 1627/28.1
     He held the office of Groom of the Bedchamber to King James VI.1 He was Clerk of Market to King Charles I.1 On 26 March 1613 he had charter of the territorial Barony of Kinnaird.1 He was created 1st Baronet Livingston, of Kinnaird, co. Fife [Nova Scotia] on 29 June 1627, with special remainder to his his heirs male whatsoever.1

     Jane Sproxton was the daughter of Richard Sproxton.2 She married, firstly, William Marwood before 1618.1 She married, secondly, Sir John Livingston of Kinnaird, 1st Bt., son of Sir John Livingston of Abercorn and Elizabeth Carmichael, on 7 February 1618/19.1 She married, thirdly, Edward Gorges, 1st Baron Gorges before 1645.1 She died circa 12 May 1665.1 She was buried on 15 May 1665.1
     From before 1618, her married name became Marwood.1 From 7 February 1618/19, her married name became Livingston. From before 1645, her married name became Gorges.1

     General Sir Reginald Ramsay Gipps was born on 14 May 1831.2 He married Evelyn Charlotte Wilhelmina Feilden, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Feilden and Louisa Willis Fielden, on 3 August 1886 at Cheshire, England.1 He died on 10 September 1908 at age 77.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Battle of Alma, where he was bayoneted in the hand.2 He fought in the Battle of Inkerman, where he was wounded in the neck.2 He fought in the Siege of Sevastopol.2
