Admiral Sir Thomas Pasley, 1st Bt.1

     Admiral Sir Thomas Pasley, 1st Bt. was born on 2 March 1734.1 He was the son of James Pasley and Magdalen Eliott.2 He married Mary Heywood, daughter of Thomas Heywood.1 He died on 29 November 1808 at age 74.1
     He gained the rank of officer in 1751 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1757 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1762 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Commander-in-Chief in 1788 at Medway, Kent, England, in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Right-Admiral on 12 April 1794 in the Royal Navy.1 He lost a leg but gained a baronetcy and a pension of £1,000 per annum following his distinguished performance under Howe at the 'Glorious' First of June 1974 victory over the French.1 He was created 1st Baronet Pasley, of Craig, co. Dumfries [Great Britain] on 1 September 1794, with a special remainder to the heirs male of his daughters.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the white in 1795 in the Royal Navy.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the The Nore in 1798.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Plymouth in 1799.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1801 in the Royal Navy.1

     Charles Pasley was born on 25 February 1740.1 He was the son of James Pasley and Magdalen Eliott.2 He married Jane Carlyle, daughter of John Carlyle, on 21 February 1780.1

     Jane Carlyle is the daughter of John Carlyle.2 She married Charles Pasley, son of James Pasley and Magdalen Eliott, on 21 February 1780.1

     Admiral Sir Thomas Pasley, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 December 1804.1 He was the son of Major John Sabine and Maria Pasley.2 He married Jane Matilda Lily Wynyard, daughter of Reverend Montagu John Wynyard, on 10 June 1826.1 He died on 13 February 1884 at age 79.1
     He was given the name of Thomas Sabine at birth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Sabine, of Craig, co. Dumfries [G.B., 1794] on 29 November 1808.1 In 1809 his name was legally changed to Thomas Pasley under the terms of his grandfather's will.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1818 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1824 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1828 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1831 in the Royal Navy.1 They also had two other daughters who died unmarried.1 He was Superintendent of the Pembroke and Devonport Dockyards between 1854 and 1856.1 He gained the rank of Right-Admiral in 1856 in the Royal Navy.1 He was Superintendent of the Pembroke and Devonport Dockyards between 1857 and 1862.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1863 in the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1866 in the Royal Navy.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Portsmouth between 1866 and 1869.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1873.1
