Henry O'Neill, 1st Visconde de Santa Monica was born on 3 May 1821.1 He was the son of José-Maria O'Neill and Dona Ludovina Alves Solano.2 He died on 6 November 1889 at age 68, unmarried.1
He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was awarded the Grand Cross , Order of the Crown of Italy.1 He was awarded the Grand Cordon of Our Lady of the Conception of Villa Vicosa.1 He was Grand Officer of the Royal Household of Portugal.1 He held the office of Minister of Justice [Portugal].1 He was awarded the Grand Cross Rose of Brazil.1 He was created 1st Visconde de Santa Monica [Portugal] on 28 December 1876.1
