Henry Charles Denison and Beatrice Guthrie.2 He married Maria Amy Brabazon Heaton-Ellis, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Henry Brabazon Heaton-Ellis and Marion Pringle McCarthy, on 2 January 1919.3 He died on 13 November 1960 at age 72.3

Sir John Heathcoat-Amory, 1st Bt. was born on 4 May 1829.2 He was the son of Samuel Amory and Anne Heathcoat.2 He married Henrietta Mary Unwin, daughter of William Unwin and Jane Grant, on 6 April 1863.2 He died on 26 May 1914 at age 85.2
He was given the name of John Amory at birth.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tiverton between 1868 and 1885.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Devon Royal Volunteers.2 On 28 February 1874 his name was legally changed to John Heathcoat-Amory by Royal Licence.2 He was created 1st Baronet Heathcoat-Amory [U.K.] on 21 March 1874.2
