     Bernard I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg was the son of Magnus II Herzog von Braunschweig and Catherine von Anhalt-Bernburg.1 He married Margaret von Sachsen, daughter of Wenzel II Kurfürst von Sachsen and Cecilia di Carrara, circa 1386. He died on 11 June 1434.
     He was a member of the House of Guelph.1 He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig in 1409.1 He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg in 1428.1

     Margaret von Sachsen was born before 1370. She was the daughter of Wenzel II Kurfürst von Sachsen and Cecilia di Carrara. She married Bernard I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, son of Magnus II Herzog von Braunschweig and Catherine von Anhalt-Bernburg, circa 1386. She died on 2 June 1418.

     Wenzel II Kurfürst von Sachsen was the son of Rudolf I Herzog von Sachsen-Wittenberg and Kunigarde of Poland. He married Cecilia di Carrara, daughter of Francis di Carrara, Duca di Padua, in 1367. He died on 15 May 1388.
     He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg. He gained the title of Kurfürst von Sachsen.

     Cecilia di Carrara was the daughter of Francis di Carrara, Duca di Padua. She married Wenzel II Kurfürst von Sachsen, son of Rudolf I Herzog von Sachsen-Wittenberg and Kunigarde of Poland, in 1367. She died between 1430 and 1434.
