Major James Alexander, 4th Earl of Caledon was born on 11 July 1846 at Carlton House Terrace, Westminster, London, EnglandG.2 He was the son of James Du Pre Alexander, 3rd Earl of Caledon and Lady Jane Frederica Harriot Mary Grimston.3 He married Lady Elizabeth Graham-Toler, daughter of Hector John Graham-Toler, 3rd Earl of Norbury and Lady Steuart Bethune, on 9 October 1884.3 He died on 27 April 1898 at age 51 at Curzon Street, Mayfair, London, EnglandG, from blood poisoning and pneumonia.2 He was buried at Caledon Castle, County Tyrone, IrelandG.2
He succeeded as the 4th Baron Caledon, of Caledon, co. Tyrone [I., 1790] on 30 June 1855.3 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Caledon, of Caledon, co.
