     Donald Maclean, 1st of Brolas was born circa 1600.2 He was the son of Hector 'Og' Maclean, 11th of Duart and Morvern and Isabelle Acheson.3 He married Florence Maclean, daughter of John 'Garbh' Maclean, 7th of Coll and Florence Campbell.3 He died after 1655.2
     He fought in the Battle of Inverkeithing.2
