     Allan Macdougall, 21st of Dunollie and of Lorn was the son of Alexander Macdougall, 18th of Dunollie and of Lorn and Catherine Campbell.2 He married Mary MacLachlan, daughter of Ian MacLachlan of Kilbride.1 He died in 1695.1
     In 1686 he obtained a charter from King James VII of the greater part of Lorn.1

     Isabel Macdougall is the daughter of Duncan Macdougall, 20th of Dunollie and of Lorn.2 She married John Maclaine, 14th of Lochbuie, son of Lt.-Col. Hector Maclaine, 12th of Lochbuie and Margaret Campbell, in 1707.1
     Her married name became Maclaine. From 1707, her married name became Maclean.1 She was living in 1751.2

Lt.-Col. William Henry Surman1

     Lt.-Col. William Henry Surman was born circa 1836.1 He was the son of William Harry Surman and Ellen Donne.1 He married, firstly, Marian Bailey Cartwright, daughter of Samuel Cartwright, on 8 April 1875 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.1 He married, secondly, Frances Elizabeth Bulteel, daughter of Thomas Hillersden Bulteel and Caroline Louisa Harris, in 1883 at Christchurch, Hampshire, England.1 He died in 1919.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 7th Foot Regiment.1

John Macdougall, 22nd of Dunollie and of Lorn1

     John Macdougall, 22nd of Dunollie and of Lorn was the son of Allan Macdougall, 21st of Dunollie and of Lorn and Mary MacLachlan.2 He married Mary MacDonald, daughter of William Macdonald and Katherine Cameron, in 1712.1 He died in 1737.1
     He fought in the Battle of Sheriffmuir in 1715.1 He fought in the Jacobite Uprising in 1715.1 He forfeited his estates.1 He was made a prisoner and was conveyed in June 1727 from Newgate to Gravesend for transportation to Barbados, but pardoned and allowed to return home.1
