Emma Briggs1

     Emma Briggs was born on 24 March 1824 at Bombay, India.2 She was the daughter of General John Briggs and Jane Dodson.3,2 She married, firstly, Æneas Ranald Macdonell, son of Æneas Ranald Macdonell, 19th of Glengarry and 6th of Scotus and Juliana Charlotte Wade, on 18 September 1845 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1,2 She and Æneas Ranald Macdonell were divorced on 25 November 1863 at London, England.2 She married, secondly, Underwood French on 2 July 1864 at St. James, Paddington, London, England.2 She died on 25 April 1895 at age 71 at Monte Carlo, Monaco.2
     From 18 September 1845, her married name became Macdonell. From 2 July 1864, her married name became French.2

Æneas Ranald Westrop Macdonell, 20th of Glengarry1

     Æneas Ranald Westrop Macdonell, 20th of Glengarry was born on 5 December 1847.2 He was the son of Æneas Ranald Macdonell and Emma Briggs.2 He married Catherine Frances Creed, daughter of Henry Herries Creed, on 20 October 1874.2 He died on 2 January 1901 at age 53.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 10th Lord Macdonell [Scotland, 1716] on 24 October 1868, Jacobite.2

John Bird Macdonell1

     John Bird Macdonell was born in 1858.1 He was the son of Æneas Ranald Macdonell and Emma Briggs.2 He died in 1886, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 12th Suffolk Regiment.1

     Emma Jane Macdonell is the daughter of Æneas Ranald Macdonell and Emma Briggs.2 She married, secondly, James Sinclair.1 She married, firstly, Patrick Henderson Chalmers on 23 November 1880.1
     Her married name became Sinclair.1 From 23 November 1880, her married name became Chalmers.

Patrick Henderson Chalmers1

     Patrick Henderson Chalmers married Emma Jane Macdonell, daughter of Æneas Ranald Macdonell and Emma Briggs, on 23 November 1880.1 He died in February 1889.1
     He lived at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He was a practising Advocate.1

     Charlotte Lindsay Macdonell is the daughter of Æneas Ranald Macdonell and Emma Briggs.2 She married Reverend Herbert Cooper on 15 June 1887.1
     From 15 June 1887, her married name became Cooper.

Angus Macdonell1

     Angus Macdonell was born posthumously on 22 June 1867.1 He was the son of Æneas Ranald Macdonell and Mary Johnstone.2 He married Elsie Murdoch, daughter of Henry Hunter Murdoch, on 18 November 1899.1 He died in October 1929 at age 62.1
