Major Hugh Frederick Lyons-Montgomery was born circa 1856.2 He married Catherine Mary Macdonell, daughter of Eneas Ronald Macdonell and Catherine Sidgreaves, on 15 October 1896.1 He married Winifred Gascoyne Dalziel, daughter of William Gascoyne Dalziel and Fanny Gertrude Trayes, in 1912 at Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales.2 He died in October 1931 at Wimborne, Dorset, England.1,2
