Sir Nigel Andrew Digby Murray of Blackbarony, 15th Bt. was born on 15 August 1944.1 He is the son of Sir Alan John Digby Murray of Blackbarony, 14th Bt. and Mabel Elisabeth Schiele.2 He married Diana Margaret Bray, daughter of Robert Campbell Bray, in 1980.1
He was educated at St. Paul's School, Argentina.1 He was educated at Salesian Agricultural Technical School, Argentina.1 He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was an arable, beef- and cattle- farmer.1 He succeeded as the 15th Baronet Murray, of Blackbarony, co. Peebles [N.S., 1628] on 9 May 1978.2 He lived in 2003 at Establecimiento Tinamú, Arias, Provincia de Córdoba, Argentina.1
