     Gillian Crawshay-Williams was born on 11 April 1910.1 She was the daughter of Leslie Crawshay-Williams and Joyce Collier.2 She married, firstly, Walter Goetz, son of Alfred Goetz, in 1934.3,4 She and Walter Goetz were divorced in 1937.3,4 She married, secondly, Arthur William James Greenwood, Baron Greenwood of Rossendale, son of Rt. Hon. Arthur Greenwood, on 1 June 1940.1 She died on 19 July 1995 at age 85 at Hampstead, London, EnglandG.5
     Her married name became Goetz.3 Gillian Crawshay-Williams also went by the nick-name of Jill.3 From 1 June 1940, her married name became Greenwood. After her marriage, Gillian Crawshay-Williams was styled as Baroness Greenwood of Rossendale on 22 September 1970.
