Sir John Maclean of Morvern, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Allan Maclean of Morvern, 3rd Bt. and Giles Macleod.2 He married Mary Macpherson, daughter of Sir Æneas Macpherson of Invereshie, before 1704.1 He died before 1719.1
He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Maclean, of Morven, co. Argyll [N.S., 1631] in 1674.1 He was a Jacobite in 1689.1 He fought in the Battle of Killiecrankie in 1715, where he lead his clansmen.1 He fought in the Battle of Sheriffmuir in 1715.1

Sir Hector Maclean of Morvern, 5th Bt. was born circa 1704.1 He was the son of Sir John Maclean of Morvern, 4th Bt. and Mary Macpherson.2 He died between January 1751 and February 1751, unmarried.1
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Maclean, of Morven, co. Argyll [N.S., 1631] before 1719.1 In 1745 he was imprisoned in the Tower of London on suspicion of Jacobitisim.1
