Abigail Urquhart was the daughter of John Urquhart of Newhall. She married Sir Kenneth Mackenzie of Scatwell, 1st Bt., son of Kenneth Mackenzie of Scatwell and Janet Ross, in 1718.1

Kenneth Mackenzie was born on 10 March 1882.1 He was the son of John Ord Mackenzie and Joanna Spens.2 He married May Eudora Horsbrugh, daughter of Henry Moncrieff Horsbrugh and Mary Harriet (?), on 4 October 1910.1 He died on 27 August 1918 at age 36, killed in action.3
He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Scots.1 He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.) at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.1
