Francis Caldwell Holland was born on 21 April 1865.1 He was the son of Reverend Francis James Holland and Mary Sibylla Lyall.2 He married Maud Constance Walpole, daughter of Sir Spencer Walpole and Marion Jane Murray, on 9 November 1897.2 He died on 6 March 1948 at age 82, without issue.1
