Mary Edith Powell was the daughter of John Hardman Powell.2 She married Sir John Knill, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Stuart Knill, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Rose Parker, on 18 April 1882.1 She died on 21 April 1944.1
She was awarded the Dame, Order of the Holy Sepulchre and Order of Bene Merenti.1 From 18 April 1882, her married name became Knill.

Sir John Stuart Knill, 3rd Bt. was born on 11 April 1886.1 He was the son of Sir John Knill, 2nd Bt. and Mary Edith Powell.2 He married, firstly, Lucy Emmeline Willis, daughter of Captain Thomas Henry Willis, on 22 June 1910.1 He and Lucy Emmeline Willis were divorced in 1935.1 He married, secondly, Ruth Evelyn Barnes, daughter of Archibald Barnes, in 1941.1 He died on 17 April 1973 at age 87.1

Sir John Kenelm Stuart Knill, 4th Bt. was born on 8 April 1913.1 He was the son of Sir John Stuart Knill, 3rd Bt. and Lucy Emmeline Willis.2 He married Violette Maude Florence Martin Barnes, daughter of Leonard Martin Barnes, on 5 November 1951.1 He died on 15 April 1998 at age 85.1
