     Henrietta Isabella Simpson was the daughter of Reverend Francis Simpson and Anne Strickland.2 She married Reverend Digby Charles Legard, son of Digby Legard and Frances Creyke, on 6 October 1846.1 She died in 1897.1

     George Bruce Legard was born on 7 March 1885.1 He was the son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce.2 He died on 27 October 1914 at age 29, killed in action.2
     He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal West Kent Regiment.1

     Reverend Charles Legard was born on 9 June 1887.1 He was the son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce.2 He married Ethel Gertrude Marriott, daughter of Reverend George Strickland Marriott and Gertrude Hole, on 23 July 1918.1 He died on 15 August 1976 at age 89.1
     He was educated in 1897 at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Lincolnshire Regiment, and Aide-de-Camp Personal Staff.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.1 He was Rector between 1937 and 1958 at Burghclere, Berkshire, England.1

     Lt.-Cdr. George Hugo Digby Legard was born on 26 February 1920.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Legard and Ethel Gertrude Marriott.2 He married Eve Lilian Howard, daughter of Captain Francis Howard, on 30 March 1944.1 He died on 17 June 1966 at age 46.1
     Lt.-Cdr. George Hugo Digby Legard usually went by his middle name of Hugo. He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.1
