Dublin [I., 1831] on 22 August 1948.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Talbot de Malahide, co. Dublin [U.K., 1856] on 22 August 1948.1 He was Head of Security, Foreign Office in 1953.1 He was Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Laos between 1954 and 1955.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Laos between 1955 and 1956.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1957.1 He was Director of Irish Investment Company Ltd.1 He was appointed Fellow, Linnean Society (F.L.S.) in 1968.1 On his death, his U.K. Barony expired.1
