George Henry Robert Child-Villiers, 8th Earl of the Island of Jersey was born on 2 June 1873.1 He was the son of Victor Albert George Child-Villiers, 7th Earl of Island of Jersey and Hon. Margaret Elizabeth Leigh.1 He married Lady Cynthia Almina Constance Mary Needham, daughter of Francis Charles Needham, 3rd Earl of Kilmorey and Ellen Constance Baldock, on 8 October 1908.1 He died on 31 December 1923 at age 50.1
He was chairman and partner of Child's Bank.1 He succeeded as the 11th Viscount Grandison of Limerick, co. Margaret Elizabeth Leigh, on 8 October 1908.2 She married, secondly, Commander William Rodney Slessor, son of Major Arthur Kerr Slessor, on 5 June 1925.2 She died on 12 January 1947 at age 57.2
