Sir Merrik Raymond Burrell, 7th Bt. was born on 14 May 1877 at Knepp Castle, West Grinstead, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Raymond Burrell, 6th Bt. and Etheldreda Mary Loder.² He married, firstly, Wilhelmina Louisa Winans, daughter of Walter Winans, on 11 February 1902.² He and Wilhelmina Louisa Winans were divorced in 1907.² He married, secondly, Coralie Adelaide Mervyn Porter, daughter of John Porter Porter and Josephine Henrietta Lloyd, on 14 August 1908.² He and Coralie Adelaide Mervyn Porter were divorced in 1927.² He died on 22 December 1957 at age 80.²
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901.² He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Raymond, of Valentine House, co.
