Georgiana Maria Elliot was the daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness.1 She married William Hopetoun Carnegie, 8th Earl of Northesk, son of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts, on 14 February 1843.1 She died on 23 February 1874.1

George John Carnegie, 9th Earl of Northesk was born on 1 December 1843.2 He was the son of William Hopetoun Carnegie, 8th Earl of Northesk and Georgiana Maria Elliot.2 He married Elizabeth Georgina Frances Elliot, daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope, on 28 February 1865 at St. Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, EnglandG.3 He died on 9 September 1891 at age 47.2
