     Colonel Stanley Johnson was born on 1 March 1888.1 He was the son of Samuel Johnson and Julia Anne Webb.1 He married Beryl Buchanan Binny, daughter of Steuart Bayley Binny and Mabel Smith Buchanan, on 29 February 1932.1 He died on 2 December 1965 at age 77 at Middlesex Hospital, London, EnglandG.2
     He was educated at Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Manchester University, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1912.1 He was Sen. Prof. Officer Board of trade (Custodian of Enemy Property.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the 6th Battalion, East Surrey Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was legal advisor to the Government of India between 1920 and 1945.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Delhi Contingent and Simla Rifles.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was chairman of the Pensions Appeal Tribunal between 1946 and 1949.1
