Major John Ronald Campbell was born on 18 September 1905.2 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Hon. John Vaughan Campbell, V.C. and Amy Dorothy Penn.2 He married Ethel Mildred Cook, daughter of Thomas Reginald Hague Cook, on 12 June 1935.1 He died on 30 May 1940 at age 34 at FranceG, killed in action.1

Ethel Mildred Cook was the daughter of Thomas Reginald Hague Cook.1 She married, firstly, Frank Brian Frederic Bibby, son of Frank Bibby and Edith Mary Clarke, on 2 December 1919.1 She married, secondly, Major John Ronald Campbell, son of Brig.-Gen. Hon. John Vaughan Campbell, V.C. and Amy Dorothy Penn, on 12 June 1935.1 She died on 17 May 1967.1
