Robin Adrian Hood was born on 1 December 1924.2 He was the son of Sir Joseph Hood, 1st Bt. and Marie Josephine Robinson.3 He married Miriam Teresa Blanco-Fombona, daughter of Don Umberto Blanco-Fombona, on 30 April 1949.2 He died on 24 September 1993 at age 68.2
He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.2 He was member of the London Stock Exchange between 1961 and 1964.3 He was treasurer of the Catholic Housing Aid Society between 1964 and 1968.3 He graduated from London University, London, England, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was Director of the Catholic Fund for Overseas Development between 1977 and 1982.3
