     He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the 48 Squadron, Royal Air Force.2,1

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England, Eton.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He was HQ Recruiting Officer for Lincoln during First World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.1 He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [E., 1642] on 4 October 1922.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lincolnshire between 1926 and 1951.1

     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [E., 1642] on 25 December 1951.1

     Her married name became Wythes. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1

     Her married name became Thorold.
