John Warren Napier-Clavering was born on 16 September 1832.1 He was the son of Major Hon. Charles Napier and Alice Emma Barnston.1,2 He married Anna Maria Margaret Helen Hunter, daughter of Colonel Francis Hunter, on 30 September 1857.1 He died on 9 June 1906 at age 73.1
