Lt.-Col. Nöel Gilroy Annan, Baron Annan was born on 25 December 1916.1 He was the son of Captain James Gilroy Annan and Fannie Mildred Quinn.1 He married Gabriele Ullstein, daughter of Louis Ferdinand Ullstein, on 30 June 1950.1 He died on 21 February 2000 at age 83.2
