     Sir Joshua Allen was the son of John Allen.2 He married Mary Wybrow, daughter of John Wybrow.1 He died on 8 July 1691.1
     He lived at Mullynahack, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1673.1,2

     Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen was born on 17 September 1685 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was the son of John Allen, 1st Viscount Allen and Mary FitzGerald.1 He married Margaret du Pass, daughter of Samuel du Pass and Dorothy Ellis, on 18 November 1707 at Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 5 December 1742 at age 57 at Stillorgan, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was buried on 8 December 1742.1 His will was proven (by probate) in April 1743.1
     He matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, on 1 July 1701.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kildare between 1709 and 1726.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1718 with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Allen of Stillorgan, co. Dublin [I., 1717] on 8 November 1726.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Allen, co. Kildare [I., 1717] on 8 November 1726.1

Margaret du Pass1

     Margaret du Pass was born before 1692 at St. James's Rectory, Piccadilly, London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Samuel du Pass and Dorothy Ellis.1 She married Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen, son of John Allen, 1st Viscount Allen and Mary FitzGerald, on 18 November 1707 at Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 4 March 1758 at Duke Street, Piccadilly, London, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 9 March 1758 at Piccadilly, London, EnglandG.1 Her will (dated 20 July 1754 and 9 December 1755) was proven (by probate) on 24 November 1758.1
     From 18 November 1707, her married name became Allen.1 After her marriage, Margaret du Pass was styled as Viscountess Allen on 8 November 1726.

John Allen, 3rd Viscount Allen1

     John Allen, 3rd Viscount Allen was born before 1708.1 He was the son of Joshua Allen, 2nd Viscount Allen and Margaret du Pass.1 He died on 25 May 1745, from the wound he received, unmarried.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carysfort between 1733 and 1742.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Allen, co. Kildare [I., 1717] on 5 December 1742.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Allen of Stillorgan, co. Dublin [I., 1717] on 5 December 1742.1 On 26 April 1745 he received a wound in an encounter with one of the Guards at Dublin, whom he shot.2
