     Gladys Helen Rachel Goldsmid was born on 4 December 1879 at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Albert Edward Williamson Goldsmid and Ida Stewart Hendricks.¹ She married Louis Samuel-Montagu, 2nd Baron Swaythling, son of Samuel Montagu, 1st Baron Swaythling and Ellen Cohen, on 9 February 1898.² She died on 8 January 1965 at age 85 at 28 Kensington Court, London, England.¹
     Her married name became Montagu. She was Officer of Public Instruction at France.² After her marriage, Gladys Helen Rachel Goldsmid was styled as Baroness Swaythling on 12 January 1911. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.St.J.)² She was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)² She was appointed Fellow, Royal Photographic Society (F.R.P.S.)² She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1953.²

     Maria Rosa Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Bartenstein was born on 21 December 1903 at Bartenstein^G. She is the daughter of Johann Friedrich Michael Carl Maria Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Bartenstein und Jagstberg and Anna Maria Erzherzogin von Österreich. She married Josef Hugo Waldenmaier on 5 May 1923. She and Josef Hugo Waldenmaier were divorced on 20 May 1928.
     She was given the name of Maria Rosa Adelheid Theresa Henriette Margarette Anna at birth.
