Isabella MacNeill is the daughter of Major W. Gibbs MacNeill.2 She married George William Fairfax, son of Hon. Ferdinando Fairfax and Elizabeth Blair Cary, in November 1815.1

Rear-Admiral Donald MacNeill Fairfax was born in 1821.1 He was the son of George William Fairfax and Isabella MacNeill.2 He married, firstly, Virginia Cary Ragland, daughter of Thomas Ragland, in 1854.1 He married, secondly, Josephine Foote, daughter of Rear-Admiral A. H. Foote, in 1879.1 He died in 1894.1
He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in the U.S. Navy, the only one of his family who sided with the North in the American Civil War.1

Wilson Miles Cary Fairfax was born on 1 December 1798.1 He was the son of Hon. Ferdinando Fairfax and Elizabeth Blair Cary.2 He married Lucy Anna Griffith, daughter of Reverend David Griffith, on 2 March 1824.1 He died on 8 August 1860 at age 61.1
