     William Goodenough was born in 1645.1 He was the son of Edmund Goodenough and unknown Dyke.2 He married, firstly, Penelope Needham.1 He married, secondly, Annabella Bathurst, daughter of Sir Edward Bathurst, 1st Bt..1 He died on 16 March 1673.1
     He purchased Broughton Hall, Broughton Poggs, Oxfordshire.1
