     Edward Philip Monckton was born on 18 July 1840.1 He was the son of Edward Henry Cradock Monckton and Maria Catherine Tydd.2 He married Christabel Francis, daughter of Reverend C. D. Francis, on 25 September 1866.1 He died on 17 April 1916 at age 75.1
