Mary Kirwan was the daughter of Andrew Valentine Kirwan.2 She married Alfred George Taylor on 16 October 1892.1 She died on 20 November 1951.1

Alfred Jesse Taylor, 1st Baron Grantchester was born on 14 August 1893.2 He was the son of Alfred George Taylor and Mary Kirwan.2 He married Mara Henrietta Suenson, daughter of Albert Suenson, on 26 May 1920.2 He died on 2 July 1976 at age 82.2
He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.2 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1915 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1920 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1920 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was director of London and Manchester Assurance between 1934 and 1967.2 He was director of County Fire Office Ltd between 1934 and 1968.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1935.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)2 He was created 1st Baron Grantchester, of Knightsbridge in the City of Westminster [U.K.] on 30 June 1953.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)2

Harold George Kirwan-Taylor was born on 14 April 1895.1 He was the son of Alfred George Taylor and Mary Kirwan.2 He married Elizabeth Mary Neild, daughter of J. R. J. Neild, on 21 April 1926.1 He and Elizabeth Mary Neild were divorced in 1946.1 He died on 2 December 1981 at age 86.1
