Randolph George Gethin was born on 28 June 1871.1 He was the son of George Gethin and Maria Isabella Connellan.2 He married Georgina Mary Power, daughter of Reverend George Beresford Power and Constance Putland, on 7 November 1911 at St. Canice's Cathedral, Kilkenny, County Kilkenny, Ireland.1,3 He died on 21 June 1945 at age 73.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battalion, Inniskilling Fusiliers.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in the Special Reserve, South Irish Horse.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Waterford.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1919.1
