He lived at Tiverton, Devon, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tiverton in 1768.1 He was created 1st Baronet Duntze, of Tiverton, co. Devon [Great Britain] on 8 November 1774.1

Frances Lewis was the daughter of Samuel Lewis.2 She married Sir John Duntze, 1st Bt., son of John Duntze and Elizabeth Hawker.1 She died on 31 March 1801.1

Sir John Duntze, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir John Duntze, 1st Bt. and Frances Lewis.2 He married, firstly, Dorothy Carew, daughter of Sir Thomas Carew, 6th Bt. and Jane Smallwood, on 5 June 1804.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Carew, daughter of Sir Thomas Carew, 6th Bt. and Jane Smallwood, in 1808.1 He died on 21 June 1830.1
He was Receiver-General of land and assessed taxes for Devon.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Duntze, of Tiverton, co. Devon [G.B., 1774] on 5 February 1795.1

Dorothy Carew was the daughter of Sir Thomas Carew, 6th Bt. and Jane Smallwood.2 She married Sir John Duntze, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Duntze, 1st Bt. and Frances Lewis, on 5 June 1804.1 She died on 4 November 1806.1

Sir John Lewis Duntze, 3rd Bt. was born on 16 August 1809.1 He was the son of Sir John Duntze, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Carew.2 He married Frances Elizabeth Coles, daughter of Reverend James Coles, on 15 March 1834.1 He died on 7 September 1884 at age 75, without issue.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Duntze, of Tiverton, co. Devon [G.B., 1774] on 21 June 1830.1

James Nicholas Duntze was the son of Sir John Duntze, 1st Bt. and Frances Lewis.2 He married Jane Harriot Cockburn, daughter of Sir James Cockburn of that Ilk, 5th Bt. and Laetitia Little, on 3 June 1794.1 He died on 22 September 1846.1
