     Hon. Elwyn Villiers Rhys was born on 19 December 1900.1 He was the son of Walter FitzUryan Rhys, 7th Baron Dynevor of Dynevor and Lady Margaret Child-Villiers.2 He married Diana Stanley, daughter of Major Roger Cyril Hans Sloane Stanley, on 14 July 1931.1 He died on 10 January 1966 at age 65.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Welsh Guards.1
