Robert Harding Dring was born on 30 June 1896 at Cork, County Cork, Ireland.1 He was the son of Simon Dring and Mary Louise Finch.2 He married, firstly, Louise Maud Taylor Hitchmough, daughter of Ernest Chambers Hitchmough, on 30 April 1924.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Mary Picton-Turbervill, daughter of Charles Grenville Picton-Turbervill and Ethel Lucy Egremont, circa 1951 at Nice, France.3 He died on 12 January 1958 at age 61 at Hastings, Sussex, England.1
