     Walter Bulkeley Barrington, 9th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass was born on 20 April 1848 at Tusmore, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Percy Barrington, 8th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass and Louisa Higgins.3 He married, firstly, Mary Isabella Bogue, daughter of Reverend John Richardson Bogue and Sophia Elizabeth Mudge, on 26 April 1870.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Mary Leycester Stopford, daughter of Major George Montagu Stopford and Caroline Mary Burgoyne, on 19 January 1905.1 He died on 12 September 1933 at age 85.1 He was buried at Shrivenham, Berkshire, EnglandG.1
     He was educated between 1857 and 1863 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berkshire.3 He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass, co. Down [I., 1720] on 29 April 1901.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Barrington of Newcastle, co. Limerick [I., 1720] on 29 April 1901.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Shute of Becket, co. Berks [U.K., 1880] on 29 April 1901.1

Mary Isabella Bogue1

     Mary Isabella Bogue was born circa 1848 at Denbury, Devon, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Reverend John Richardson Bogue and Sophia Elizabeth Mudge.1,2 She married Walter Bulkeley Barrington, 9th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass, son of Percy Barrington, 8th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass and Louisa Higgins, on 26 April 1870.1 She died on 16 November 1903.1
     Her married name became Barrington. After her marriage, Mary Isabella Bogue was styled as Viscountess Barrington of Ardglass on 29 April 1901.
