     Major John Arthur Innes French was born on 25 October 1863.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir George Arthur French and Janet Clarke Innes.2 He married Jane Eliza Lewin Molony, daughter of Reverend Charles Walker Molony, in August 1892.1 He died in 1942, without issue.1
     He was educated at St. Paul's School, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Oxford Military College, Hollow Way, Cowley, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Jane Eliza Lewin Molony was the daughter of Reverend Charles Walker Molony.2 She married Major John Arthur Innes French, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir George Arthur French and Janet Clarke Innes, in August 1892.1 She died in 1940.1

     Henri Emilien Toussaint Dalmas de Lapérouse was born on 7 September 1845 at Algiers, AlgeriaG.1 He was the son of Théobald Dalmas de Lapérouse and Barbara Louisa St. John.1 He married Maria Dominique Pauline Armande Vico on 6 May 1872 at Ajaccio, Corsica, FranceG.1 He died on 5 April 1883 at age 37 at Piréas, Greece.1

     Major Herbert Cumming French was born on 22 November 1869.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir George Arthur French and Janet Clarke Innes.2 He married Helen Richards Healy, daughter of Joseph Healy, on 25 January 1905.1 He died on 13 October 1913 at age 43.1
     He was educated at Christ's Hospital, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at University College London, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)1 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.1 He was awarded the Silver Medal of the Royal Humane Society in 1903.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians, London (M.R.C.P.)1

     Lt.-Col. Humphrey French was born on 21 May 1909.1 He was the son of Major Herbert Cumming French and Helen Richards Healy.2,1 He married, firstly, Barbara Evelyn Wyatt Wimbush Metcalfe, daughter of Major Charles Campbell Metcalfe, on 6 December 1946.1 He and Barbara Evelyn Wyatt Wimbush Metcalfe were divorced in 1955.1 He married, secondly, Gerda Carmen Williams Newton, daughter of Cecil Elsdale Newton, on 12 October 1955.1 He died in November 1969 at age 60, without issue.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1929 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Royal Ulster Rifles.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1935 in the King's African Rifles.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1938 in the Somaliland Camel Corps.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was commander of the 13th and 18th (Nyasaland) Battalions, King's African Rifles.1 He was 2 i/c of the Somaliland Scouts in 1946.1 He was commnder of the Somalia Gendarmerie in 1948.1 He was commander of the Somaliland Scouts between 1949 and 1952.1 He was commander of the Gold Coast Regiment Trainig Centre, RWAFF between 1952 and 1954.1 He retired from the military in 1954, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.1
