Major George Cecil Gooch1

     Major George Cecil Gooch was born on 30 April 1832.2 He was the son of Reverend William Gooch and Anne Jarrett.3 He married, firstly, Julia Caroline van Straubenzee, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry van Straubenzee and Hon. Henrietta Wrottesley, on 7 March 1857.2 He married, secondly, Frederica Charlotte Agneta Gambier, daughter of William Gambier, on 26 October 1861.2 He married, thirdly, Ellen Louisa Fairlie, daughter of John Fairlie, on 28 May 1877.2 He died in 1898.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the 93rd Highlanders.4 He gained the rank of Major and Paymaster in the 18th Foot.1

     John Fitzherbert Vernon Ruxton was born on 12 November 1863.1 He was the son of William Ruxton and Caroline Diana Vernon.2 He married Mary Chickering, daughter of George Harvey Chickering, in September 1887.1 He died on 1 June 1892 at age 28 at Brooklyn, New York City, New York, U.S.A.G.1

     Mary Chickering is the daughter of George Harvey Chickering.1 She married, firstly, John Fitzherbert Vernon Ruxton, son of William Ruxton and Caroline Diana Vernon, in September 1887.1 She married, secondly, George Livingston Nichols in 1893.1
     From September 1887, her married name became Ruxton. From 1893, her married name became Nichols.1
