     Patrick D'Arcy was born in 1598 at Galway, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He was the son of James D'Arcy and Elizabeth Martyn.2 He married Mary French, daughter of Sir Peter French, in 1628.1,3 He died in 1668 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1,3 He was buried at Kilconnell Abbey, Kilconnell, County Galway, IrelandG.3
     He was a practising Counsellor-at-Law.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in 1640.1 Celebrated leader of Confederated Catholics of Ireland.1

James D'Arcy1

     James D'Arcy was born in 1633.1 He was the son of Patrick D'Arcy and Mary French.2 He married Frances Trushot, daughter of Captain unknown Trushot and Anne Keating.1 He died in 1692.1
     In 1641 he forfeited most of the Kiltullagh during the Civil War.1 In 1650 he went into exile.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Army.1 He lived at Kiltullagh, County Galway, IrelandG.1
