Brigadier Patrick Sholto Douglas1

     Brigadier Patrick Sholto Douglas was born on 13 April 1912.2 He was the son of Hon. Archibald Roderick Sholto Douglas and Winona Constance de Maraisville Peake.2 He married, firstly, Maude Carol Hermione Orr, daughter of George Simpson Orr, on 22 February 1940.2 He and Maude Carol Hermione Orr were divorced in 1959.2 He married, secondly, Alexa Granger Cameron, daughter of Admiral John Ewen Cameron and Marion Gertrude Granger, on 21 January 1963.1 He died on 16 June 1977 at age 65 at Alton, Hampshire, England.3
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Black Watch.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.2

     Maude Carol Hermione Orr is the daughter of George Simpson Orr.1 She married Brigadier Patrick Sholto Douglas, son of Hon. Archibald Roderick Sholto Douglas and Winona Constance de Maraisville Peake, on 22 February 1940.1 She and Brigadier Patrick Sholto Douglas were divorced in 1959.1
     Her married name became Douglas.

     From 7 June 1969, her married name became Hendriks.1 She lived in 2003 at Tanyard Cottage, Ropes Lane, Fernhurst, Haslemere, Surrey, England.1

     Peter Frederic Sholto Douglas was born on 23 August 1916.1 He was the son of Hon. Archibald Roderick Sholto Douglas and Winona Constance de Maraisville Peake.1 He married Ursula Rivers, daughter of Henry Somers Rivers, on 6 June 1942.1 He died on 8 October 1989 at age 73 at Harare, Zimbabwe.1,2
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1941.1 He was awarded the U.S. Certificate of Merit in 1945.1
