Patrick Claud Burges-Lumsden was born on 14 June 1905.1 He was the son of Ynyr Richard Patrick Burges and Frederica Florence Elizabeth Gillett.2 He married Margaret FitzGerald Lumsden, daughter of Rear-Admiral Walter Lumsden, on 17 September 1935.1 He died on 21 September 1984 at age 79.3
He was given the name of Patrick Claud Burges at birth.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards (SR.)1 On 27 February 1948 his name was legally changed to Patrick Claud Burges-Lumsden by cerificatet of Official Recognition granted by Lord Lyon King of Arms.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1959.1 He lived at Pitcaple Castle, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1
