Sir Stanley Daws Dewey, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 August 1867.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Charles Dewey, 1st Bt. and Clara Daws.2 He married, firstly, Emily Rose Pryce, daughter of Reverend Hugh Lewis Pryce and Jannet Lane, on 1 December 1891.1 He married, secondly, Mary Violet Jones, daughter of Reverend William Jones, on 31 October 1940.2 He died in January 1948 at age 80.2
