     James Boyd was born in 1817.1 He was the son of John Boyd and Hannah Hogan.2 He married Martha Colclough, daughter of Bagenal Colclough and Frances Muschamp Colclough, on 28 December 1854.1 He died on 25 March 1892.1
     He was educated at Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He lived at Kiltra House, County Wexford, IrelandG.1
