Cecil Standish Stackpole Pery was born on 23 November 1847.1 He was the son of William Henry Tennison Pery, 2nd Earl of Limerick and Margaret Jane Horsley.2 He married, firstly, Katherine Mary Gavin, daughter of John Gavin, on 20 August 1875.1 He married, secondly, Violet Margaret McCarthy on 10 March 1914 at Queensland, AustraliaG.3 He died on 6 June 1935 at age 87.1
