Colonel Robert Carey, 6th Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon was born before 1652.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir Horatio Carey and Pernel Harrington.1 He married Margaret Clifton, daughter of Sir Gervase Clifton, 1st Bt. and Lady Frances Clifford, after 1659.1 He died in 1692 at La Hogue, Normandy, FranceG.1
He succeeded as the 6th Baron Hunsdon of Hunsdon, co. Hertford [E., 1559] on 26 May 1677.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in November 1688 in the 12th Foot.1
