Richard Wogan Talbot, 2nd Baron Talbot of Malahide was born in 1766.1 He was the son of Colonel Richard Talbot and Margaret O'Reilly, Baroness Talbot of Malahide.1 He and Catherine Malpas obtained a marriage license on 28 November 1789.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Sayers, daughter of Andrew Sayers, on 15 March 1806.2 He died on 29 October 1849, without surviving male issue.3
He was educated at Manchester Grammar School, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Dublin from 1790 to 1791, when the election was annulled.1 He fought in the Ostend Expedition in 1798, where he was captured.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for County Dublin between 1807 and 1830.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 118th Foot.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Talbot of Malahide, and Lord Malahide of Malahide, co. Dublin [I., 1831] on 27 September 1834.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1836.1 He was created 1st Baron Furnival of Malahide, in Ireland [U.K.] on 8 May 1839.3 On his death his Barony of Furnival became extinct.3
