Lt.-Col. George Hart Dyke was born on 21 January 1847.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Dixon Hart Dyke and Millicent Minet.2 He married Edith Louise Kinder, daughter of Thomas William Kinder and Mary Elizabeth Wheeler, on 26 July 1895.1 He died on 30 June 1922 at age 75.1
